Why We Created Chirp Up:
Children are wanting screen time more and more.
Whether it was while parents were making dinner, folding washing, having a coffee with a friend, travelling, or simply needing a few moments to themselves, screens had become a part of everyday family life.
Yet so many of the options available were designed simply to entertain.
What if screen time could be both magical and meaningful?
What if children could enjoy the games, stories, characters, and adventures they love while also developing skills that support emotional wellbeing, confidence, mindfulness, and self-awareness?
That question became Chirp Up.
Chirp Up was created to give families a positive alternative, a place where children can explore a magical kingdom filled with creativity, adventure, and play, while gently building lifelong wellbeing skills along the way.
We don’t believe parents should feel guilty for handing over a phone or tablet.
Instead, we believe technology can be used intentionally to create moments of learning, connection, and growth.
Because sometimes children simply want to play.
And sometimes parents simply need a moment.
Chirp Up was designed to support both.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Kirsty.
I’m the founder of Chirp Up and have a background spanning media, psychology, community wellbeing, coaching, and mindfulness.
My journey has taken me from leading media campaigns and working in the corporate world to studying psychology and researching how we communicate important health and wellbeing messages to create positive change.
Alongside my studies, I’ve worked closely with young people, and families and have seen firsthand the importance of helping children understand their emotions from an early age.
Through Chirp Up, my vision is to create a world where emotional wellbeing feels as natural and accessible as learning to read, count, or play.
A world where children can build confidence, self-awareness, creativity, and resilience through magical adventures they genuinely enjoy.
Most importantly, I want Chirp Up to help families feel good about the time children spend on screens by transforming those moments into opportunities for growth, connection, and discovery.
